1.2.2018 18:10 OTEVŘME SRDCE A DVEŘE
Česká republika prostřednictvím Ministerstva vnitra ČR podporuje činnost Evropského podpůrného azylového úřadu (EASO, European Asylum Support Office). Úřad vznikl 19. června 2010 a od 1. února 2011 funguje jako agentura EU.
„Jeho hlavním úkolem je podporovat členské státy při provádění evropského azylového systému, rozšiřovat praktickou spolupráci v otázkách azylu a pomáhat členským státům při plnění jejich evropských i mezinárodních závazků, souvisejících s poskytováním ochrany lidem, kteří ji potřebují.“

V zakládajícím dokumentu č. 439/2010 se v čl. 2.8 uvádí:
„The Support Office shall coordinate and support common action assisting asylum and reception systems of Member States subject to particular pressure which places exceptionally heavy and urgent demands on their reception facilities and asylum systems. Such pressure may be characterised by the sudden arrival of a large number of third-country nationals who may be in need of international protection and may arise from the geographical or demographical situation of the Member State.“
V roce 2010 nebyly vody Středozemního moře rozráženy příděmi přeplněných nafukovacích člunů. Do prvních protestů v Lybii zbýval půlrok a syrská válka byla v nedohlednu. Afrika byla tam, kde má být. Jasnovidci byli v pohotovosti a připravovali se na budoucí vývoj.
V roce 2015 se věštba naplnila:
„Since 2015, the European Union has been experiencing significant challenges dealing with large numbers of applicants for international protection from Middle Eastern and Northern Sub-Saharan countries.“

Úřad má napilno:
„In its Communication of 6 April 2016 entitled ‚Towards a reform of the Common European Asylum System and enhancing legal avenue to Europe‘, the Commission set out its priorities for reforming the CEAS, aimed at harmonising standards in the European Union and speeding up procedures. This reform, which is a key part of the comprehensive migration strategy, includes the overhaul of the Dublin corrective allocation mechanism, the transformation of EASO into a fully-fledged European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) with increased competences, the conversion of the Qualification Directive and Asylum Procedures Directive into Regulations, the recast of the Reception Conditions Directive and the Eurodac Regulation, and a new proposal for a Union Resettlement Framework.“
Až si to pánové upraví, opraví a zaregulují, bude mít Úřad nezbytné nástroje pro to, aby mohl „usnadňovat a podporovat činnosti členských států při provádění společného evropského azylového systému, včetně sbližování hledisek v celé EU při posuzování žádostí o mezinárodní ochranu“, a aby mohl „přispět k zajištění účinného a jednotného uplatňování právního řádu EU v členských státech“.
Kapacity Úřadu budou dostatečné, neboť jeho rozpočet se v roce 2018 zvýší na 114,10 miliónů EUR a kohorta nabyde do roku 2020 na 494 ‚vojáků‘. Kromě toho se může zapojit každý z nás – do pilotního projektu soukromých sponzorských programů (pilot project on private sponsorship schemes).
